Job Fair Opens in East Jakarta

The East Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Sub-Department is holding a job fair that will present about 2,500 vacancies from 25 companies in East Jakarta. Its implementation will take place for three days, precisely Saturday (5/31) until Monday (6/2), at 9 AM-4 PM.

Hopefully, the event could absorb workers as much as possible. Here, we offer 25 vacancies

Head of East Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Sub-Department, Chrisnawati Sulistyaningrum said the job fair is one of the steps to decrease unemployment in Jakarta. "Hopefully, the event could absorb workers as much as possible. Here, we offer 25 vacancies," she expressed, Wednesday (5/28).

She expressed that her sub-department also helps simplify the administrative requirements for job seekers. Among them is by making yellow card ​​for free and opening interview booth, which aim to make it easier for job seekers who to apply.

E. Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Head Dismissed

Based on the data, the amount of job seeker in East Jakarta is about 24,500 people. The data is a collection of job seekers from ten sub-districts. Yet there are some have yet to conduct registration. 

"There are some who already working, but they did not report it to us. They supposed to report it to us. Otherwise, there are still some who are lazy and do not apply for the job. So we don't have the data," she explained.

She continued, the job fair is free of charge. "Even the ticket for Transjakarta bus (Kampung Melayu-Pulo Gebang) was also made free," she told.

Sulistyaningrum added she had difficulties in decreasing the unemployment in East Jakarta, including many companies did not report to the Manpower and Transmigration Sub-Department if they open job fair. "According to Presidential Decree No. 4/1980 Article 2 and Law no.7/1981, all companies are obligated to report,' she asserted.
